AINSLEY PARK
Located at the east end of Downtown Campbell Avenue, Ainsley Park provides a place where downtown merchants and patrons can walk to and enjoy their lunch or break time in a peaceful park setting.
CAMPBELL COMMUNITY CENTER
LOS GATOS CREEK COUNTY PARK & TRAIL
Located at Dell Avenue near San Tomas Expressway, visitors to Los Gatos Creek have access to hiking trails and several picnic areas equipped with tables and barbecues. The percolation ponds draw anglers and model boating enthusiasts. Creekside bicycle paths running through the park connect with nearby Vasona Lake Park and Campbell Park. Call 358-3741 for more information. The Los Gatos Creek Trail is approximately 6.5 miles long from Blackford School in San Jose (near Leigh Avenue and Willow Street) to Historic Downtown Los Gatos. Individuals can hike, bike, walk, run or skate along the trail. The trail passes through Los Gatos Creek County Park and Vasona Lake Park. Both have picnic areas and Vasona has a lake for non-power boating. For information on the Creek Trail or county parks call 358-3741.
CAMPBELL PARK
Campbell Park is a trail head for the Los Gatos Creek Trail located on the corner of Campbell and Gilman Avenue. The park has basketball courts, horseshoe pits, picnic areas, play equipment, par course equipment and restrooms. The park is adjacent to 80 acres of the Los Gatos Creek Trail/Park and Percolation Ponds. For information on Campbell Park call 866-2105.
EDITH MORLEY PARK
On Campbell Technology Parkway off of McGlincey, visitors can enjoy beautiful trails, a large grass area overlooking the percolation ponds, a marshland with a separate pond, and wooden paths and picnic tables. There is no playground equipment at Morley Park but dogs are allowed on leash and when the wind comes up, it makes for great kite flying.
JACK FISCHER PARK
Located at Pollard Road and Abbott Avenue, Jack Fischer Park is open to the public, though there are no reservable areas. The city of Campbell has posted a list of “dos and don’ts” for this facility. Call the Campbell Public Works Dept. at 866-2145 for more detailed information.
JOHN D. MORGAN PARK
Located at 540 West Rincon Avenue at the cross streets of Budd Avenue and San Tomas Expressway, this park has 32 acres of land which includes two softball fields, a pony league baseball diamond, two sand volley ball courts, four tennis courts, four horse shoe pits, two large children’s play areas, picnic areas and a large meadow. Call the Campbell Community Center at 866-2105 for reservations and information.
VIRGINIA PARK
Located on Virginia and Budd Avenues, Virginia Park is the ideal park for families with small children. The park has a play area for children and facilities for family picnics.
