Cary Stover, B.S., CPA, MBA
I began life at an ealry age in Reading, Pennsylvannia, where I enjoyed sledding in the winter, baseball in the spring, and football in the fall. Junior High school and High School years were spent in Whittier, California in Southern California, where I learned to surf. After High School it was off to the Air Force for awhile. In 1970 I headed to San Jose to attend San Jose State University to earn a degree in Accounting. There I met my beautiful wife Peggy to whom I have been married for 38 years. I began my accounting career at Alexander Grant & Company as a student intern, graduating in 1974 and earning my CPA in 1976. After five years in public accounting I entered high tech where I worked for about 25 years at ROLM, ROLM/IBM, ROLM/Siemens, 3Com, and JDSU. Along the way I earned a Masters in Business Administration from Saint Mary's college in Moraga. My experiences in high tech range from corporate finance to manufacturing operations, including being Director of Supply Chain for JDSU. In 2003 I "retired" from high tech, dusted off my CPA certificate and began practicing accounting and tax again. I own a franchise with Padgett Business Services, which has over 400 offices in North America. My business serves small business and individuals.
